Benton has updated the comprehensive plan, which will help guide development in the city over the next 20 years. The plan will help shape how and where Benton will grow in the future. This plan serves as a vision for the community and will identify goals and priorities as Benton residents express.
State law requires cities to develop comprehensive plans before passing ordinances regulating land development. Benton’s 2020 Comprehensive Plan will address issues such as land use, transportation, and community facilities that greatly impact the quality of life in Benton.
