Benton has updated the comprehensive plan which will help guide development in the city over the next 20 years. The plan will help shape how and where Benton will grow in the future. This plan serves as a vison for the community and will identify goals and priorities as expressed by Benton residents.

Cities are required by state law to develop comprehensive plans before passing ordinances which regulate the development of land. Benton’s 2020 Comprehensive Plan will address issues, such as land use and transportation and community facilities, which greatly impact the quality of life in Benton.
