The History of Alcoa Road
Alcoa Road has long been a main vehicle artery connecting areas of Benton and Saline County to major interstates. It was also used as a thoroughfare for workers heading to the Alcoa plant in Benton. As the population of the area has increased, so has traffic on Alcoa Road.
Benton Proud blogger Jerry Coston covered the history of the road as well as ongoing reports of the construction project that is currently underway. Click on the links below to read the posts.

The construction project is expected to require thirty-months from start to finish, depending on weather.
Four (4) roundabouts are located at various locations along the project.
