The Administrative Assistant – Assistant to the City Clerk.  Performs clerical duties required to support the day-to-day activities of the Office of City Clerk.


  • Assists in the renewal process for privilege licenses and controlled beverage permits each year;
  • Issues privilege licenses and works with new business owners and department heads for approval;
  • Issues alcohol permits;
  • Collects A&P documents from new business owners;
  • Collects payment for alcohol and privilege licenses;
  • Collects supplemental beverage tax;
  • Maintains supplemental beverage tax files;
  • Maintains city clerk files;
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • Associates Degree or Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration preferred;
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years’ administrative support experience preferred;
  • Proficient in MS 365;
  • Energetic personality with strong interpersonal communication skills;
  • High attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Skilled in managing multiple tasks/projects along with the ability to work in a self-directed manner;
  • Strong sense of ownership and initiative, collaborative and flexible attitude.
